SEP 30 193 13:57 TO: 303 832 8106 P01
MID-CONT1 NEW RESOURCES
P.O.Boar 1208
Glenwood Springs, CO 81602
September 13, 1993
Anthony J. Waldron
Reclamation Specialist
Division of Minerals & Geology
1313 Sherman St.
Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
RE: Request for approval to perform bank stabilization on Dutch Creek.
Dear Mr. Waldron:
Concerning the embankment on the south side of Dutch Creek, near our warehouse,
we propose to armor the embankment with large sized rock, placed at the base of the
hill, then add additional rock material of variable slze. Mid-Continent requests approval
of this work, which is intended for bank stabilization, to prevent erosion of the toe of the
steep hillside above.
Durable rock material of various sizes, including very large rock, has been collected
and placed in the yard on the north side of the stream, prior to being transported in a
loader bucket. The stream is relatively low now. The rock will rest at the base of the
hill, occupying approximately a two foot zone of the distance between low and high
water mark, around the curve of the stream, which is a distance of about 300'.
The objective, of course, is to prevent undercutting of the embankment by the stream,
Thank you very much.
Yours truly,
Diane Delaney
Mid-Contlnent Resources
