October 4, 2012 C-1981-010/Trapper Mine JLE <br /> The Ash Pit was observed. The spoil depth test pits observed during the August, 2012 inspection have been filled <br /> in and the area has been graded. Topsoil from the Ash 10 stockpile has been spread over the backfilled area. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05, Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, <br /> 4.05.6, Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4, Effluent Limits 4.05.2, Ground Water <br /> Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage—Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8, <br /> Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9, Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> West Horse pond was holding a small amount of water but was not discharging. The sediment marker was in <br /> place. Overall the combined-spillway appeared stable,however it appears cattle or wildlife has trampled the <br /> erosion control matting placed in the spillway*. The flume was in place and functional. <br /> Horse Gulch pond was holding water but was not discharging. According to Mr. Luke,this pond was recently* <br /> drained to check the depth of the sediment level. The Division did not observe a sediment marker. This marker <br /> will need to be replaced. The pond embankment appeared stable and vegetated. <br /> West I'veatt 41 pond was recently*cleaned to restore its sediment storage capacity*. This pond was holding water <br /> but was not discharging. The sediment marker was in place and the embankment and spilhvayT were stable and <br /> functional. <br /> East I'veatt pond 43 was holding water and not discharging. The spilhvayT is vegetated and stable. The sediment <br /> marker is in place. <br /> East I'veatt pond 42 was holding water and discharging. The embankment appeared stable and vegetated. The <br /> spilhvaN-was clear and functional. The sediment marker needs to be replaced. <br /> Oak pond 41 was recently*cleaned. The sediment marker was in place. The embankment appeared stable and the <br /> spilhvaN-was clear and functional. This pond was holding water but was not discharging. <br /> Oak pond 42 was holding water but was not discharging. The embankment appeared stable and the spilhvaN-was <br /> clear and functional. <br /> Middle Flume 43 pond was holding water but not discharging. Anew flume has been installed below this pond. <br /> The pond embankment appeared stable and the spillway*was functional. The sediment marker was not observed <br /> and will need to be replaced. <br /> Johnson 41OR was holding water and discharging. The sediment marker was not observed and will need to be <br /> replaced. <br /> Jonson 47 Pond needs to be cleaned. <br /> West Flume Diversion 1 was walked;this ditch is filled with silt in the lower reaches of the drainage. This ditch <br /> will need to be cleaned to restore its capacity*. West Flume Diversion 2 was not walked,but it is likely*it is in a <br /> Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 2 <br /> Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 2 <br /> Page 3 of 10 <br />
