6. The boundaries of the WMD are identified on approved permit page 2.04 -11, under the
heading of Western Mining District. Based on the information presented in the PR -9
application this information will require revision. Approved page 2.04 -11 states that,
"the area is bounded on the east by one of the primary faults (orient NNW to SSE)."
Please revise page 2.04 -11 to reflect the correct boundary based on the proposed
longwall panel extensions and panel additions in the WMD.
7. It appears that proposed pages 2.04 -16.4 and 16.5 is numbered incorrectly based on the
approved pages. Please renumber the proposed pages to 2.04 -16.3 and 16.4.
8. TC included a proposed page 2.04 -80.2. The information identified on the propose page
is listed on approved page 2.04 -79 and 80. If an edit of the pages is required, please
see the approved pages for text.
9. Proposed Map 23 has omitted longwall panels that are currently approved to be mined or
have been mined. Approved Map 23 identifies the western most panel of the WMD as
Panel 18 Left. The proposed Map 23 identifies the western most panel of the WMD as
17 Left. In addition, the proposed 12 Left outby Panel timing is not identified on the
proposed Map 23. Please revise Maps 23, 2311, and 23C to reflect the approved and
proposed mine plan.
10. Proposed page 2.05 -3 identifies mining of the 19 Left and 20 Left Panels. As identified
in Number 9 above, these panels are not found on the proposed Maps 23, 23B, and 23C.
Please revise the proposed text or the proposed above mentioned maps to reflect the
proposed mine plan.
11. Proposed page 2.05 -3 identifies Map 23A. Please revise the proposed page to identify
Map 23 rather than 23A.
12. Approved permit page 2.05 -163 identifies longwall panels that are proposed to
undermine Fish Creek. Please revise page 2.05 -163 to include any new longwall
panels that will undermine Fish Creek.
13. Approved permit page 2.05- 181.10 provides discussion on panels that are proposed to
undermine the Fish Creek alluvial valley floor. Please revise page 2.05- 181.10 to
include any new longwall panels that will undermine the Fish Creek alluvial valley
floor.
14. Based on the approved PHCs, it was determined that the Twentymile Sandstone Aquifer
quantity and quality will not be substantially affected by mining. However, it is noted
that the potential for movement of significant quantities of ground water from the mine
workings to the Twentymile Sandstone is limited to major fault zones, which may
provide significant communication. Approved page 2.05 -142 states that, fault zones
penetrated to date have not yielded any significant long -term inflows from the Trout
Creek Sandstone or the Twentymile Sandstone and fault zones, which have the potential
