Hale, Recorder <br />THIS AGREEMENT made and entered into as of the <br />8th day of June , 1961, brand between <br />UNION CARBIDR CORPORATION, a New York corporation, having an <br />office at 270 Park Avenue, New York 17, New York, hereinafter <br />referred to as "Carbide'" and AMERICAN METAL CLIMAX, INC., a <br />New York corporation, with offices in Grand Junction, Colorado, <br />hereinafter referred to as `American Metal.' <br />WITNESSETHs <br />Carbide is the owner of the Paradox A, patented mining <br />claim located in Section 22, Township 46 North, Range 17 West, <br />N.M.P.M., Montrose County, Colorado.* <br />American Metal's drilling operations upon its Mineral <br />Joe Nos. 5. 6, 7 and 8 claims, which claims are located to the <br />South of said Paradox A claim, have disclosed valuable deposits <br />of uranium ore approximately 650 feet below the surface of <br />said claims. In order to gain access to said ore deposits <br />American Metal has extended an adit from its Mineral Joe No. 16 <br />claim into and across said Paradox A claim] said adit is <br />approximately 8 feet in width by 8 feet in height and enters <br />said Paradox A claim at a point on the North side line thereof, <br />which point is approximately 810 feet from the Northwest <br />corner of said claim and extends on a bearing of South 49 <br />West, for a distance of approximately 612 feet, and emerging <br />at a point on the South side line of said claim approximately <br />545 feet from the Southwest corner of said claim, the elevation <br />of said adit being approximately 590 feet above sea level. <br />American Metal desires to maintain and use said adit <br />for the purpose of carrying on mining operations on said Mineral <br />Joe claims and other claims. <br />1. NOW THEREFORE for and in consideration of the <br />
