Accordingly, a monitoring plan <br />will be developed (if necessary) pending the outcome of the ongoing DOE PEIS <br />process. As discussed in Section 8.0 above, the soil underlying the Hawkeye <br />Mine site is mudstone and siltstone of the lower portion of the Salt Wash <br />Member of the Morrison Formation and considered to be impermeable to <br />migration of water into underlying rock units and groundwater. <br />At the Ellison Mine site the ephemeral flow direction is to the southwest down <br />the slope below the mine permit area and to the Dolores River. Prior to the <br />resumption of mining activities, following lifting of activity prohibitions by the <br />DOE, a surface water monitoring plan for the Dolores River will be implemented. <br />13.0 Climate <br />Climate data from the nearest weather station is provided in Table 1 and Table <br />2. The nearest weather station is located at the C. J. Ranch, Summit Point, Utah <br />approximately 6.5 miles southwest of Burros Mine. <br />Table 1 <br />Exhibit U -7 <br />
