-50- <br />impermeable bulkheads would separate the waste rock disposal posal area from <br />the adjacent underground and environment. <br />Surface Reclamation; Surface reclamation of the site will <br />conducted under be current mine plan filed by the Gates & Fox <br />C ony, Inc. with the Energy Research and Development <br />(Mine Plan AT(O5-1 'ministration <br />)-ML -60.8- C -JD-5, June 10, 1976 <br />1976) and an `amended June 18, <br />Agreement with the Colorado Mined <br />(Permit Lan Reclamation Board <br />No. 77 -248, June 28, 1978). The "Abandonment" section of the <br />`-R' Mine Plan reads as follows: <br />"Abandonment. <br />"a. Sealing of Portals. At the termination of the <br />operation of this tract <br />steel doors made of steel <br />sheathing will be used to cover the shafts. <br />"b. Removal of Structures <br />and Cleanup. All structures <br />placed in this tract by Gates & Fox Company, Inc. <br />will be removed and cleanup will be made. It must <br />be understood that at the present time there are on this e <br />s tract which were left by the <br />operators of the Mineral Joe No. <br />4 Incline and not <br />placed there by Gates & Fbx. <br />"c• Disposition of Mine <br />Wastes (Contouring, Leveling, <br />Use for Backfill, etc.) As stated previously, mine will e <br />be stored on the old waste dump from the <br />Mineral Joe NO. <br />4 Incline, and if any justifiable <br />leveling or contouring is necessary, Gates & Fox <br />Co dy, Inc. will comply. , <br />
