Dept. of Natural Resources
Mined Land Reclamation Board
Colorado Department of Natural Resources
723 Centennial Building
1313 Sherman Street
Denver, CO 80203
Re: permit No. 77-419
Gentlemen:
Enclosed herewith are a form of Reclamation Bond
and a form of proposed Deed of Trust securing this Bond and
other bonds to be issued in the future under the life of the
mine permit for our Coal Basin operations .
These forms are in the format approved some time
ago by Mr. Lucius Woods in the Attorney General 's office and
used with our original permit bonding.
You will note the Deed of Trust form provides
security to the extent of 85% of the appraised value of
the additional land offered as security. Also, that the
form provides for future bonding, as well as bonding
simultaneously with execution of the Deed of Trust.
zt is our hope that as each specific bonding
requirement is authorized and directed, that a separate
numbered bond can be executed, forwarded for approval, and
after approval, recorded, without the necessity of providing a
new or amended Deed of Trust in each instance.
