Dept. of Natural Resources
Denver, CO 80203
Dear Jim:
Enclosed are proposed forms for future Reclamation Bonds and
Deed of Trust securing the bonds for approval by the MLRB.
Bob Delaney' s letter explains what we are trying to accomplish.
In layman' s terms, we want to pledge as surety for future Coal
Basin bonding requirements up to 850 of the appraised value of
a piece of industrial property the company owns in Carbondale.
Then we can sign reclamation bonds from time to time covering
future mine plan revisions using the property as surety without
revising the Deed of Trust and Title Committment documents each
time.
Although Bob Delaney didn't buy my proposed draft, I 'm including
a copy in case Bob' s isn't acceptable and something more like
mine would be. Also, I indicate in pencil some probable
revisions of Bob' s draft.
I ' ll appreciate your expeditious staffing of this proposal .
Sincerely, '
42tCo
George E.
