18. Service Charge <br /> A service charge in addition to the regular fees shall be made <br /> for failure to meet the fee payr-sent due date or any of the dates <br /> specified for sa!Drnission of staterents required for fee calculation. <br /> The service charge s�iaa11 be one (1.0) p=rcent per month of the <br /> fee from the date state ent and fees were due or $15, nichever <br /> is greater. If a d'u? date falls on a nonworkday, the service <br /> charge will not apply until the end of the next workeay. <br /> 19. Non:,ayrent <br /> This permit may be teen i nated for no.-pay*eent of fees and/or any <br /> additional charge for late payment. <br /> 20. Incamnification of United States <br /> The permittee shall in em- ify the United States against any <br /> liability for da,'nage to life or prcpperty arising from the occu- <br /> pancy or use of National Forest lands under this permit. <br /> 21. Esthetics <br /> The permit-tee shall protect the scenic esthetic values of the <br /> area under this permit, and the adjacent land, as far as possible <br /> j with the authorized use, during construction, operation, and <br /> maintenance of the ir,;prcvements. <br /> 22. Water Pollution <br /> No waste or byproducts shall be discharged if it contains any <br /> substances in concentrations which will result in substantial <br /> harm to fish and wildlife, or to human water supplies. <br /> Storage facilities for materials capable of causing water pollu- <br /> tion, if accidentally discharged, shall be located so as to pre- <br /> vent any spillage into waters, or channels leading into water, <br /> that would result in substantial harm to fish and wildlife or to <br /> human water supplies. <br /> 23. Erosion Control <br /> The permittee shall be responsible for the prevention and control <br /> of soil erosion and gullying on the area covered by this permit <br /> as required by the District Ranger. <br /> 24. Revegetation, Ground Cover <br /> All earth cut or fill slopes favorable to revegetation or other <br /> areas on which ground cover is destroyed in the course of con- <br /> struction, will be revegetated to grasses or other suitable <br /> vegetation as required by the District Ranger. <br />
