Therefore, in a 50 minute operating hour, a scraper can move 143 CY per hour.
At the Cline No. 2 and alternative coal- stockpiles, three 637D scrapers can be
loaded by one D-9L dozer. To move the 10370 CY at the mine No. 2 coal
stockpile area and to move the 5,830 CY at the alternative coal stockpile area
would require three scrapers and one dozer 21 .4 hours.
The cost for this portion of the backfilling would be:

At the Sutey refuse pile, eight 637D scrapers can be loaded by tone_D9L dozer.
A total of 20,444 cubic yards of fill are required to be hauled from the
refuse pile for backfilling. It would take 8 scrapers and one dozer 17.9
hours to complete this operation at the following cost.

One D8L will be required at the bins to push material into the bins. In
addition, a compactor and a crane to raise and lower the compactor. The
backfill will have to be compacted in lifts. It is assumed that this will be
completed concurrently with the hauling from the pits. Therefore, each piece
of equipment will e used for 39.3 hours. The total cost would be :
1 - D8L dozer @ $110. 10/hr. = $ 4,327.00
1 - Bantam T588 Crane @ 44.53/hr. _ $ 1,789.00
