If it is not, it will be disposed <br /> of in the coal refuse disposal area. If it is suitable for <br /> surface reclamation, it will be stockpiled and maintained for <br /> future use. <br /> Oil waste from the shop areas will be stored and <br /> recycled . Mid-Continent has an agreement with the Savage Brothers , <br /> coal haul contractors, that all liquid waste from the shop area <br /> will be transported from the permit area and disposed of or used <br /> in accordance with applicable state and federal regulations . <br /> b . Coal refuse disposal <br /> From 1961 until late in 1984 coal refuse was <br /> deposited at a site just east of the preparation plant and <br /> adjacent to Coal Creek. By the time it was closed in 1984 <br /> approximately 2 million cubic yards of coal waste had been <br /> deposited at this site with a maximum height of approximately 180 <br /> feet . Final reclamation of this refuse disposal site is now <br /> being accomplished -as outlined in Chapter V. <br /> Commencing in January 1985 coal refuse from the <br /> coal preparation plant has been deposited at a new coal refuse <br /> disposal area (Sutey) across Coal Creek northwest of the plant . <br /> See map of the facility - Exhibit II-B-7 . <br /> The new coal waste disposal facility consists of <br /> the actual storage site, a conveyor system to transport the waste <br /> to the site, access roads, topsoil storage areas, a surface water <br /> 141 4- <br />
