In two
different multi-day events in 1997, twenty-two students and three
faculty have planted 2500 trees. This service work adds strength
and real experience to our curriculum. We would like to continue
this partnership in the future and know that with the Department of
Agriculture's assistance our efforts to restore the area will not be
choked off by the overwhelming thistle problem.
CRMS urges the Department of Agriculture to further support our
community effort to restore the Coal Basin area.
cerely,
F.k JK --
Peter Mueller
Coordinator for Wilderness Service
Colorado Rocky Mountain School
