I have kept the responses <br /> brief. If you want more detail , just let me know. Regarding <br /> Section 4 , I thought that I would provide a mine site map and a few <br /> aerial photos of the mine bench outslopes. Can you think of <br /> anything else to provide? <br /> This memo is on the M:\ drive at M:\IMP\SGR\MCRVOC. <br /> Section 2 <br /> 1. The purpose of the project is to improve the quality of the <br /> Coal Creek and Dutch Creek watersheds by planting seedling trees on <br /> mine bench outslopes. A total of 48 acres of mine bench outslopes <br /> will be planted. Planting will occur on 7 different mine bench <br /> outslopes. It is estimated that 50 tree seedlings will be planted <br /> per acre. A total of 2 ,400 seedlings will be planted. <br /> 4 . The Division of Minerals and Geology is responsible for <br /> reclamation of the mine site. Revegetation of the mine bench <br /> outslopes is a component of the required reclamation. The property <br /> is federally owned, and is managed by the United States Forest <br /> Service, White River National Forest, Mount Sopris Ranger District. <br /> The District Ranger is very supportive of the proposed VOC project. <br /> 5. Use and user? Is this post project land use? Post project <br /> land use for the portion of the mine which is managed by the Forest <br /> Service is non-motorized recreational use, wildlife habitat and <br /> cattle grazing. The Forest Service manages the project areas and <br /> surrounding land. <br /> 6. Success of the project will be monitored by the Division of <br /> Minerals and Geology. Additional planting or sediment control <br /> treatments may be performed by Division contractors_ if_the..need <br />
