(n) SIGNS. Not allowed. <br />(o) SPECIAL FLOOD DISTRICT REGULATIONS. No development, new construction, <br />substantial improvement, use fill, encroachments, construction, or alteration on or over <br />any portion of a floodway shall be permitted which alone, or cumulatively with other such <br />activities, is designed so that it would cause or result in any of the following: <br />• The storage or processing of materials that in times of flooding are buoyant, <br />flammable, explosive, or otherwise potentially injurious to human, animal or plant <br />life. <br />• The disposal of garbage or other solid waste materials. <br />• Substantial solid debris being carried downstream by flood waters. <br />• Any enlargement of a Floodplain which would cause damage to or on lands other <br />than those being proposed for development. <br />• Human occupation or fixed residential structures, either permanent or temporary, <br />which are not flood - proofed to at least one foot above the level of the one <br />hundred (100) -year flood in accordance with the standards for completely flood - <br />proofed structures contained within Section 210 of the U.S. Army Corps of <br />Engineers publication entitled, Flood- Proofing Regulations" June, 1972, GPO: <br />19730 - 505 -026 Edition or any subsequent edition thereto. <br />• Any proposed construction in a floodplain which is not anchored to prevent <br />flotation, collapse or lateral movement of the structure. <br />• Any obstruction which would adversely affect the efficiency of or restrict the flow <br />capacity of a designated floodplain so as to cause foreseeable damage to others, <br />wherever located. <br />• Designs for new or replacement water supply systems and sanitary sewage <br />systems which do not minimize or eliminate infiltration of floodwaters and do not <br />provide for on -site waste disposal systems to be located so as to avoid <br />impairment of them or contamination from them, during or subsequent to <br />flooding. <br />• The location of any portion of a new mobile home park, of any expansion to an <br />existing mobile home park, or the location of any new mobile structure not in a <br />mobile home park. <br />Prowers County Zoning Regulations <br />27 <br />
