Site Reclamation Activity <br /> April 1997 - March 1998 <br /> Page 3 <br /> 5) monitoring and maintenance of vegetated areas. <br /> Activities planned for 1998 are; <br /> 1) annual site cleanup. <br /> 2) maintenance and possibly improvement of stormwater drainage <br /> controls. <br /> 3) maintenance and operation of the water treatment system <br /> including the Cement Creek diversion in compliance with the <br /> CDPS Permit and related Consent Decree. <br /> 4) monitoring and maintenance of revegetated areas. <br /> TERRY TUNNEL AREA - Plate No. 2 <br /> During the 1997 reporting year, no additional acreage was disturbed <br /> or reclaimed. The 1. 65 acres that were planted in 1995 exhibited <br /> improvements in growth and it appears that some vegetation will be <br /> established by this effort. <br /> Activity at this site consisted of; <br /> 1) site clean-up. <br /> 2) inspection of the tunnel bulkhead and monitoring for portal <br /> flow according to the terms of the Consent Decree, CDPS <br /> discharge permit and MLR Permit M-77-378, TR-14 . <br /> 3) monitoring of the planted side-slopes. <br /> Activities planned for 1998 are; <br /> 1) inspection and monitoring of the tunnel bulkhead and for <br /> portal flow. <br /> 2) monitoring and maintenance of the planted side-slopes. <br /> SUNNYSIDE BASIN (LAKE EMMA) AREA - Plate No. 2 <br /> During the 1997 reporting year, no additional acreage was disturbed <br /> or reclaimed. A total of 148.83 acres were removed from the permit <br /> area either because the area was never disturbed or reclamation was <br /> complete (borrow area slope on Bonita Peak and the reclaimed <br /> roadway northeast of the Lake Emma hole) . <br /> Activity at the site consisted of; <br /> 1) refilling the area of subsidence over the Lake Emma hole back <br /> to grade. The fill material was obtained from the stockpile <br /> left for this purpose. <br />
