Site Reclamation Activity <br /> April 1998 - March 1999 <br /> Page 6 <br /> BULKHEADS - TR-14 Z TR-16 <br /> Activity on this project during the 1998 reporting year consisted <br /> of; <br /> 1) the continuation of the seep, spring and flowing adit <br /> inventory required by TR-14. Twenty percent of the sites were <br /> required to be sampled and all sites monitored for field <br /> parameters twice. SGC monitored each site twice (if flow <br /> existed) and sampled more than twenty percent of the sites <br /> during the field season. Summary sheets of the data collected <br /> are included in Appendix B. <br /> 2) implementation of the work plans for the voluntary Consent <br /> Decree agreement projects in order to fulfill the terms of the <br /> agreement and move towards final site reclamation if the terms <br /> of the Consent Decree are successfully met. The A List <br /> projects were completed and inspected by October 1997 . <br /> Sunnyside submitted three additional projects for inclusion <br /> under the Consent Decree B List projects. These projects <br /> include work within the permit area (approved in TR-21) as <br /> well as diversion work outside the permit area. These <br /> projects were started during the 1998 report year. <br /> 3) monitoring of the bulkhead in the American Tunnel for pressure <br /> and mine pool for pH, temperature and conductivity, and <br /> inspection of the tunnels and bulkheads. (Terry Tunnel and <br /> American Tunnel) . <br /> Planned activity for 1999 includes; <br /> 1) monitoring of the American Tunnel and Terry Tunnel bulkheads <br /> and mine pool according to permit requirements. <br /> 2) monitoring and maintenance for the completed Consent Decree - <br /> Mine Remediation Projects. <br /> 3) continuation of the seep, spring and flowing adit inventory <br /> and monitoring. <br /> MAYFLOWER MILL AREA - Plate No. 3 <br /> Ownership of this site was transferred to the San Juan County <br /> Historical Society for conversion into a historical and <br /> interpretive tour. This conversion was approved in AM-004 and took <br /> place in May of 1996. The Historical Society has operated the tour <br /> since 1996. In SR-02 the main mill building area was removed from <br /> the permit area and Sunnyside was released from further reclamation <br /> responsibility for the building area. <br />
