Site Reclamation Activity <br /> April 1996 - March 1997 <br /> Page 5 <br /> Alkaline material was placed with this material to neutralize <br /> it. Upon reaching final sub-grade elevation the material was <br /> capped with sub-soil from the borrow area. The sub-soil was <br /> then treated with liquid fertilizer (32-0-0) at a rate of 50 <br /> gallons per acre, seeded with the "Mountain Mix at a rate of <br /> 22 lbs per acre (pls) and mulched with grass hay at a rate of <br /> 1 ton per acre. Seeding was in November. <br /> 2) planting of miscellaneous shrubs. <br /> Planned activity for 1997 includes; <br /> 1) maintenance of the vegetation. <br /> 2) usage of the area for deposition of material removed from; the <br /> American Tunnel settling ponds, Boulder Creek Tailings <br /> Project, Pride of the West Tailings Project and possibly <br /> reclamation waste material from other projects undergoing <br /> remediation by SGC. <br /> 3) usage of the borrow area as required for capping material. As <br /> the borrow area or pond surface is brought to final <br /> reclamation contours, the areas will be seeded with the <br /> "Mountain Mix" . <br /> 4) potential improvements to the stormwater diversion structures. <br /> TAILINGS POND 13 AREA - Plate No. 3 <br /> Activity at this site consisted of; <br /> 1) maintenance of stormwater sediment catchment structure. <br /> 2) planting of trees and shrubs. <br /> Planned activity for 1997 includes; <br /> 1) monitoring and maintenance of vegetation. <br /> TAILINGS POND 11 AND TAILINGS POND 12 - Plate No. 3 <br /> Activity at this site consisted of; <br /> 1) planting of shrubs. <br /> Planned activity for 1997 consists of; <br /> 1) monitoring and maintenance of the vegetation. <br />
