Brock Bowles -2- August 29, 2012 <br />The new Bowie No. 2 Mine permit will contain 9,197 acres of land, 5,365 acres of private surface <br />and 3,832 acres of Federal surface. Private minerals within the permit area encompass 1,957 <br />acres with Federal minerals accounting for the balance of 7,240 acres. <br />The long term mine plan area is shown on Map 14 -B. The total affected area increases 609 <br />acres from 5256 to 5865 acres. <br />A cultural resource survey on the lease modification areas is attached. No soils or vegetation <br />data are provided since there is no surface disturbance associated with this permit revision. <br />Adjacent landowners were updated on pages 2.03 -5, 6 and 7 and Map 1. Compliance <br />information was updated on pages 2.03 -10 and 11. The permit legal description was changed <br />on pages 2.03 -13, 14 and 15. Discussion of the permit term was updated on page 2.05 -17. The <br />public notice for PR -13 was added to pages 2.03 -21 and 22. <br />Page 2.05 -8 was amended to briefly discuss the revised mine plan.
