No discharge was observed during the time of inspection. The NPDES point is
measured by a v -notch weir which was clear of all vegetation.
The No. 5 Mine Dewatering pump was still not operating at the time of inspection. Minimal water was held by
Ponds 5 -P5, 5 -P6 and 5 -P7 with no discharge. The rodent holes along the embankments noted in previous
inspections of Pond 5 -P5 have been filled. Ponds 5 -P5, 5 -P6 and 5 -P7 were well vegetated and stable. Previous weed spraying along the embankments appears to effective. Knapweed patches and thistle
around the area are either dead or appear to be dying.
The No. 5 Mine Dewatering pump station SAE was inspected. The area consists of a gravel pad and is stable. No
erosion was observed to be leaving the site.
Ponds HR -PIa and HR -P lb were dry during the time of inspection. All surface drainage from the facility area is captured by drainage
ditches lining the western edge. It is then directed north into a vegetative buffer and finally into Ponds 5 -P 1, 5 -P2
and 5 -P3 before final discharge. Ponds embankments were well vegetated, stable and dry.
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 2
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 0
Page 2 of 3
