TR -24 Submittal
Page 2
The area met the goals in the reclamation plan except for the presence of SGC's topsoil
stockpile prior to the Historical Society's activities and if the post- mining land use is now
changed it will again meet the goals and be eligible for release as requested. The topsoil
stockpile was relocated to the top of Tailings Pond #4 for future reclamation use. The
area does not contain tailings or mine waste therefore, evaluation of impact should not be
an issue. The northeast end of the property deeded to the Society does contain tailings
material but will remain in the MLR Permit area as a potential borrow area to bring
Tailings Pond #4 to the final grade in the reclamation plan.
If approved for release, SGC's permit area will be reduced by 7.44 acres. Attached is a
map showing the proposed permit boundary and the area proposed for release from the
permit and a table of permit area by location is attached.
No change is proposed for bonding as the bond currently reflects SGC's completed
reclamation work in the area.
Included is a $150 check for the Technical Revision review fee. Please contact me if you
have any questions or if this submittal does not meet the requirements for review and
approval.
Sincerely,
Larry Perino
Reclamation Manager
