The vegetative cover along the proposed access routes was
moderate (30 -60 %) while the ground cover on the drill pad sites
was usually heavy with only 20 -30% visibility. Most of the drill
pad sites are located in hayfields with dense vegetation.
CULTURAL RESOURCES:
No prehistoric sites or isolates or early Historic Period sites
or isolates were recorded or observed during the survey. No
evidence of tool stone sources or quarrying activity were found.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
No cultural resources were found by the survey in the project
area, and the probability of unrecognized, significant sites or
buried cultural material within the impact areas appears to be
slight. No further work is recommended for the project areas as
proposed.
If subsurface cultural materials are found during the
construction, the State Historic Preservation Office and the
State Archeologist should be notified immediately.
