x <br /> Refuse and Trash Disposal Plan <br /> Standard Metals Corporation <br /> Silverton Operations <br /> American Tunnel, Terry Tunnel, Mayflower Mill <br /> American Tunnel <br /> The American Tunnel refuse dump site approximately consists of: <br /> Wood - Spent timbers, pallets, etc. 50% <br /> Metal - Rail, pipe, cable oil drums, misc. 35% <br /> Garbage - Paper, cans, spent clothing, trash 10% <br /> The American Tunnel refuse and trash plan would consist of two phases. The first <br /> phase of the plan would incorporate the following: <br /> 1. The posting of "No Public Dumping" signs. <br /> 2. The cleanup, compaction and containment on site of all refuse <br /> and trash that has migrated from the dump proper. <br /> 3. The insitu burial of all existing refuse and trash at the <br /> American Tunnel site. The insitu burial would adhere to <br /> the following guidelines: <br /> A. The approximate+ % C ('(' square foot slope area would be <br /> buried with approximately one foot to two feet of rock <br /> waste and 10 inches to 18 inches of soil medium. <br /> B. The excavation of an access road and V-type toe drain <br /> for surface drainage control. <br /> C. The construction and maintenance of a surface drainage <br /> control system to encompass the entire refuse and trash <br /> disposal site. Refer to Surface Drainage Control map <br /> American Tunnel. <br /> 4. The revegetation of the soil medium covered slopes and toe area <br /> of the site with a grass species mis. The following revegetation <br /> criteria would be followed: <br /> A. Two applications of 300 lb/acre of 34-9-9 fertilizer, once at <br /> time of planting and a follow up application later that <br /> season; yearly maintenance applications if needed. <br /> B. Rate of seeding, approximately 15 lb PLS per acre. <br /> C. Adequate commercial alpine mix and/or custom mix consisting of: <br /> Idaho fescue Festuca ovina <br /> inter. wheatgrass Agropyron intermedium <br /> slender whatgrass Agropyron trachydaulum <br /> Canada bluegrass Poa compressa <br /> Kentucky bluegrass Poa pratensis <br /> smooth brome Bromus inermis <br /> orchard grass Dactylis glomerata <br /> Tufted hairgrass Deschampsia caespitosa <br /> Timothy Phleum pratense <br /> Western yarrow Archillea lanulosa <br /> lupine Lupinus spp <br /> Covers Melilotus spp <br /> Vetchs Various spp <br />
