BUCKLEN EQUIPMENT CO PIT- ID# M- 1982 -131 I BUCKLEN EQUIPMENT CO
Technical Revision
EXHIBIT E
Exhibit E has been revised as follows from the Amended Mine Permit as approved April 16, 1993.
Deletions are indicated by strikeout, additions are noted by bold text.
RECLAMATION PLAN
The operator is also the landowner and resides adjacent to the property. The reclamation plan for
this amended area will be the same as the existing permit #M -82 -131. The operator will reclaim
the land as unlined ponds and use them as a private recreational facility for his family.
The reclamation will be done using on -site materials that are to be striped and stockpiled.
Overburden and underlying clays will be used for backfilling and resloping the pond perimeter.
The salvaged topsoil will be replaced and graded along the shoreline in depths ranging from 6
inches to 12 inches. Some of the access roads will be kept in place to allow continued use of the
property after reclamation has been completed. These roads are shown on Exhibit F.
The proposed reclamation for Area A is compatible with the surrounding neighborhood. This area
is heavily mined for gravel with the City of Greeley owned property being adjacent at Island Grove
Park and a Weld County Gravel Pit located across the river.
The reclamation of area B will consist of regrading the area and ripping the areas where
stockpiles or equipment sat. This area will be re- seeded to prevent erosion in preparation for uses
that are compatible with the I zone.
The reclamation performance standards of the site meets the requirements of Rule 6 and will be
done in the following manner:
Reclamation of separate stages will be done on a five year timetable. The proposed reclamation
of the land will be for private recreational purposes.
GRADING
The grading of the shorelines will be done with some irregularities and undulation built in for
visual relief.
The saleable material will be excavated using 3HA dopes 1H:1V slopes. Ne baskf+Aingef
slopes - will esGUF. Slopes will be backfilled using unsaleable material from within the mine
limits which includes salvaged overburden and underlying clays. All slopes will be ripped
prior to topsoiling.
All grading will be done to minimize erosion and siltation. Best management practices will be
used on stockpiles. All erosion that will occur would be confined to the property and not impact
adjacent property owners.
