Mr. Gebauer
Page 12
August 6, 2012
5. The revised Mining and Reclamation Plan Maps which were submitted on July 24, 2012
depicted a total affected area of 8.0 acres. As noted above, the access road was not included
in the affected area. If the access road were to be included, then the total acreage depicted on
the maps would be 8.66 acres. The Applicant has indicated on the Application Form that 2.14
acres would be added to the existing permit area of 7.76 acres, for a total permit area of 9.9
acres. This leaves an additional 1.24 acres which have not been depicted on either of the
maps. Please revise the maps to show a total permit area of 9.9 acres. If the Applicant wishes
the amended permit area to remain at 8.66 acres, then the first page of the Application Form
will need to be revised to reflect this change.
As previously mentioned, if you are unable to provide satisfactory responses to any inadequacies
prior to September 5, 2012, it will be your responsibility to request an extension of time to
allow for continued review of this application. If there are still unresolved issues when the
decision date arrives and no extension has been requested, the application will be denied.
If you have any questions, please contact me at (303)866 -3567 x8116.
Sincerely,
6
w
Michael A.
