TR -109 Response Cont.
The first item found was within the findings documents associated with each bond
release. A discrepancy was found within these documents, prepared by the division,
concerning the total released acreage for Phase II bond release SL -6. Trapper ultimately
requested a total bond release of 819.5 acres. Division calculations within the findings
document indicate the release should have been 819.6 acres. Current tabulations of the
released parcels show the release was comprised of 819.6 acres, however, the findings
document summaries show an official release of 819.1 acres. This acreage appears to be
a typographical error.
The division currently shows total Phase II bond release at 3,573.0 acres; however, this
total is in error due to the above error in total bond release for SL -6. Trapper would like
to request that the official release for SL -6 be revised to 819.6 acres as originally
intended.
A second item found was that one of the primary discrepancies between the Trapper total
Phase II bond release and the Divisions total is also within SL -6, involving Parcel A -B-
98. This particular parcel received Phase I bond release during SL -5 at 50.7 acres. With
the submittal of SL -6 a sub - parcel of A -B -98, south of Life of Mine road was removed
from the bond release due to projected re- disturbance. Therefore A -B -98 was released at
40.5 acres in SL -6. However, the entire sub - parcel was not fully disturbed as
anticipated. Only 5 acres of this sub - parcel was disturbed. During SL -10, Trapper
requested Phase III Bond release of 45.7 total acres for this parcel. Due to this request,
5.2 acres of this parcel received Phase III release but not Phase II. Trapper had been
erroneously carrying this additional 10.2 acres in its total Phase II amount.
Trapper would like to request that these 5.2 acres be granted Phase II bond release status
as they have already received Phase III bond release status. Due to the small
discrepancies noted here, Trapper does not request any change in liability, but to simply
address the total acres as noted.
An additional sub - section will be added to Section 1.0 of the annual report. Sub - section
1.2.7 shall include a description of re- disturbance activities and an additional table, titled
Table 1.2, shall demonstrate acreage changes and bond release status for each parcel
affected. New material for section 1.0 and the additional Table 1.2 are attached.
A summary of current bond release acres is as follows (current for 2011, does not
include recent releases of SL -12 and SL -13):
DRMS
Current
Totals
Trapper Mine
Adjusted Totals
Total
Re- disturbance
acres
New Total
Bond Release
Acres
Phase I
3870.0
3870.0
24.8
3845.2
Phase II
3573.9
3574.4
17.5
3556.9
Phase III
2925.5
2925.5
5.9
2919.6
TR -109 Response Cont.
The first item found was within the findings documents associated with each bond
release.
