Compliance With Mine Plan N - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> N -Other N - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> N -Processing Waste N -Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> This was a coal partial inspection of the Bowie No. 1 Mine; DRMS File No. C-1981-038 operated by Bowie <br /> Resources,LLC(Bowie). The weather was partially cloudy with slight rain. I,Jared Ebert of the Colorado <br /> Division of Reclamation,Mining and Safety conducted the inspection. Mr. Basil Bear with Bowie accompanied <br /> me on the inspection. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05; Drainage Control 4.05.1,4.05.2,4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, <br /> 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7,4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water <br /> Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage —Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; <br /> Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> The sediment pond located on the east end of the Loadout facilities was dry and the primary and emergency <br /> spillways were in place and appeared operational. <br /> Sediment ponds 1, 3 and 4 were dry and the emergency spillway and primary spillways were in place and <br /> appeared to be operational. All of the dam structures were intact. <br /> Sediment pond 2 was holding a small amount of water. The dam embankment was stable and the spillways <br /> appeared to be operational. <br /> The ROM sedimentation pond was empty and the side slopes were vegetated and stable. <br /> The west ridge gob pile pond within the eastern mine area was dry and the embankments appeared stable. <br /> The west mine sedimentation ponds were dry and the embankments were stable and vegetated. <br /> Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 1 <br /> Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 0 <br /> Page 2 of 4 <br />
