Compliance With Mine Plan N - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> N -Other N - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> R -Processing Waste R -Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> This was a partial inspection of the Bowie No. 2 Mine; C-1996-083 operated by Bowie Resources,LLC(Bowie). <br /> The weather was clear and sunny. I,Jared Ebert of the Colorado Division of Reclamation,Mining and Safety <br /> conducted the inspection. Mr.Bill Bear with Bowie accompanied me on the inspection. <br /> EXCESS SPOIL and DEVELOPMENT WASTE—Rule 4.09 <br /> Placement; Drainage Control; Surface Stabilization: <br /> Gob Pile No. 2 was observed. The eastern side drain was clear and appeared to be functioning. The pile appeared <br /> to be graded and stable. The proposed gob pile area south of the fire mountain canal was observed. Topsoil and <br /> subsoil has been stripped from the area and stockpiled. Several excavators were placing gob in pile No.4. The <br /> material on Gob Pile No.4 was being compacted with a sheeps foot at the time of the inspection. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 <br /> Drainage Control 4.05.1,4.05.2,4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5,4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, <br /> 4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4;Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring <br /> 4.05.13; Drainage —Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8;Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> The ditches along the main haul road were observed. They were clear of debris and were functioning. <br /> Pond C has been recently cleaned out. The embankment was stable. The primary spillway was closed and the <br /> water level was about 4 feet below the pipe. The emergency spillway was infested with knapweed. It appears <br /> weed control spraying has occurred at this site. The pond was holding water but was not discharging. <br /> Pond D was holding water,but the primary spillway was about 2 to 3 feet above the water level. The emergency <br /> spillway was lined with rocks and was stable. <br /> The eastern side drain adjacent to Gob Pile No.4 was walked.
