July 17, 2012 C- 1982 - 057 /Seneca II -W Mine SLB <br />FISH and WILDLIFE — Rule 4.18 <br />There were nine mallards on Pond 005 and five mallards on Stock Tank T18. Two sandhill cranes were <br />flushed from T18 and relocated to T20. A red - tailed hawk was circling south of Stock Tank T5. Thirty elk <br />crossed the Pond 016 drainage and stopped briefly at Stock Tank T27; the same group of elk was later encountered <br />in the Pond 017 drainage. There were two mule deer in the 006 Gulch near the oil well. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 ❑ []Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, <br />4.05.6, Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water <br />Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage — Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; <br />Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />Pond 005 held water below the discharge level. The embankment was stable and vegetated. <br />Stock Tank T22 was muddy but not holding water. <br />T18 and T20 were holding water below the spillway elevations. <br />Pond 017 was discharging clear water, although the water in the pond looked fairly muddy. The culvert carrying <br />the seep on the north side of Pond 017 was blocked on the outlet end (from equipment passing through to the T25 <br />stock tank) and should be cleared. <br />Pond 006 was discharging clear water; the embankment was stable and vegetated. <br />Stock Tank T2 held water below the discharge elevation. <br />The spoil spring in the Pond 016 drainage was flowing approximately 5 -10 gpm. <br />ROADS — Rule 4.03 1111 Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3) ❑ ❑ Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4) ❑ ❑ Surfacing and <br />Maintenance4. 03. 1(5) and (6)/4.03.2(5) and (6)11❑Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br />Roadways, culverts, and ditches throughout the site were in good condition. A motor grader was <br />maintaining Road G. <br />REVEGETATION — Rule 4.15 ❑ ❑ Vegetative Cover; Timing: <br />In general, the weed population was less than it was a year ago.
