They will both be stockpiled separately inside the west boundary of the permit. A
1 H:1 V slope will be maintained during the mining process on the side walls of the pit. The top
soil and overburden will be removed by a carry -all and stockpiled. The top soil stockpile will be
approximately 15 feet wide and 8 feet high. The top soil will be stacked in a manner so it can be
seeded with grass. The seed grass mixture will be as follows:
A protective bank will be left between the pit and Surveyor Creek. Surveyor Creek will be 50
feet away from the mining pit. No mining will take place in Surveyor Creek. The flood
elevation of Surveyor Creek during a ten (10) year, 24 hour storm is probably 5 to 6 feet and
should never get close to the mining area. The elevation difference between the channel of
Surveyor Creek and the eastern edge of the proposed pit is 10 -12 feet. Flood water will be
returned to the waterway using 3 pumps to extract the water from the pit and pumped back into
the waterway.
See also Exhibit C to original Application signed and dated August 14, 2008, Permit # M -2008-
060.
