July 19, 2012 C- 1981 - 010 /Trapper Mine SLB <br />FISH and WILDLIFE — Rule 4.18: <br />Several pronghorn were observed on the western end of the reclaimed F pits. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 ❑ []Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.053; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, <br />4.05.6, Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10, Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water <br />Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage — Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; <br />Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />The Middle Pyeatt, Horse Gulch, and Oak ponds all held water. Water was being pumped from the pond <br />on the Middle Pyeatt/East Pyeatt drainage line, just downgradient of the ash disposal area, and being used for dust <br />suppression. The operator indicated that the Oak ponds were nearing cleanout stage. <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLANCE: <br />Coal was being removed from the K Strike pit. Three draglines were working in the K Dip pits, and <br />overburden from the K strike pits was being hauled to the F pit. <br />TOPSOIL — Rule 4.06 11 []Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.063; <br />Redistribution 4.06.4: <br />Topsoil was being redistributed with scrapers on the regraded middle section of the F pit.
