Graham Roberts of
Trapper Mining, Inc. was present during the inspection. Weather conditions were clear and warm; ground
conditions were dry.
AIR RESOURCE PROTECTION — Rule 4.17:
Haul road surfaces and equipment corridors were being watered down; dust was effectively minimized.
BACKFILL and GRADING — Rule 4.14 11 []Contemporaneous Reclamation 4.14.1; Approximate Original
Contour 4.14.2; Highwall Elimination 4.14.1(2)(f); Steep Slopes 4.14.2, 4.27; Handling of Acid and Toxic
Materials 4.143; Stabilization of Rills and Gullies 4.14.6:
Backfilling and grading operations were observed in the south end of the F pit. A new drainage was being constructed in the East Pyeatt area, and another where the F pit
has been recently regraded. Rock check dam locations had been marked, and construction of the check dams in
the lower sections of the drainages had begun. The Oak drainage had been repaired with the installation of several
check dams varying in spacing of every 5' at the lower end of the channel, and every 15' on the upper end near the
haul road. There were four dozer basins in the channel between the haul road and the two sediment ponds. The
lower two basins had been recently cleaned.
EXCESS SPOIL and DEVELOPMENT WASTE — Rule 4.09 11 ❑Placement; Drainage Control; Surface
Stabilization:
The Horse Gulch fill was observed to be stable with no signs of slumping, bulging, cracking or water
seepage.
