The dugout pond was dry and the banks appeared to be well vegetated and stable. Sediment Pond 2 was
dry and the banks appeared to be stable and vegetated.
ROADS—Rule 4.03 Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3) Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4) Surfacing and
Maintenance4.03.1(5) and(6)/4.03.2(5) and(6) Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7):
The north road from the shop facilities to Sediment Pond 2 and the B Pit was in good condition. The road
from parcel 25 to topsand piles A I and B I were a little rough from heavy equipment hauling topsand. The access
road along the southern boundary of the permit area was a little rough from the gas well drill-rig activity.
REVEGETATION—Rule 4.15 Vegetative Cover; Timing:
Areas 30 and 31 were walked. Area 30 had significantly less cheatgrass than Area 31 which was treated
with a pre-emergent herbicide last fall(photo 3). Area 31 is scheduled to have the pre-emergent treatment applied
this fall. A large number of grasshoppers were in all areas of the reclamation and appeared to have done some
damage to the reclaimed parcels.
SIGNS AND MARKERS—Rule 4.02:
Topsand markers were in place. The main entrance sign was visible and had all required information.
Permit boundary markers were in place.
TOPSOIL—Rule 4.06 Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3;
Redistribution 4.06.4:
Topsand piles were observed and appeared to be stable and vegetated.
