this lease. All mining and prospecting shall be conducted by lessee in a good, <br />mining-dike and workmanlike manner. the lessor shall have the right to enter upon <br />said land for purposes of inspection at all reasonable times so long as no inter- <br />ference with operations by lessee results therefrom. <br />3. It is understood and agreed that this lease is, or may be, taken <br />in conjunction with other leases or operations upon adjacent and neighboring lands, <br />and if the same is so taken, it may be worked in conjunction with such other lands <br />or leases, and lessee is hereby granted the right to transport production from <br />other leases over the premises hereby leased, and to construct drains and culverts <br />across such premises for the purposes of draining other leases and lands, and to <br />do all things that may be reasonably necessary or helpful in the efficient operation <br />of this and other lands and leases. <br />4. The term of this lease shall be for seventeen (17) years from the <br />date hereof and so long thereafter as coal or other minerals are produced and sold, <br />unless this lease shall be sooner terminated as herein elsewhere provided. <br />5. Lessee agfees to pay lessor ten cents (10¢) per ton on or before <br />the 15th day of each month for all coal removed and sold during the preceding <br />month, with proper allowance for delayed rentals paid. If mining operations should <br />not be commenced on described lands on or before the 15th day of September, 1959, <br />lessee may pay or tender the sum of Two Dollars ($2.00) per acre as advanced <br />royalty, which payment or tender shall operate as a rental for twelve (12) months <br />from said date, and the same shall also vest the right and privlege in lessee to <br />defer the commencing of operation fox and during said period. In like manner, <br />and upon like payments or tenders of advanced royalty, the commencement of operations <br />may be further deferred or suspended after having been commenced, fox like periods, <br />successively during the term of tnis lease, so that in any event lessee shall pay <br />lessor a minimum roylaty of Iwo Dollars($2.00) per acre per year from and after <br />said date; and if sufficient coal or other minerals has not been sold, then lessee <br />shall make up the difference by paying advanced royalty so that lessor is guaranteed <br />a minimum of Two Dollars ($2.00) per acre per year.
