Dear Ms. Johnson:
The following is submitted to satisfy the 2nd Quarter, June
monthly, and DMR reporting requirements for CDPS Permit No. CO-
0044768 - Mine Remediation Projects and the related Consent Decree
agreement.
Project Status:
"A List" Projects
- American Tunnel Mine Waste Dump
- Boulder Creek Tailings Project
- Surface Mill Tailings at Eureka
- Gold Prince - Mill Tailings
- Ransom Tunnel
- Longfellow - Koehler Mine Waste Project
- Pride of the West Tailings
These projects were completed and accepted by DMG as complying with
the Consent Decree work plans and MLR Standards in 1997.
Monitoring and maintenance is the only additional work planned for
these sites.
In June, 1998 monitoring samples were taken at the Longfellow -
Koehler project site. The results from these samples had not been
received by the date of this report and will be submitted with the
July report. Included with this report are the May sample results
from the Koehler discharge and the down gradient monitoring
station. All monitoring sites were not accessible during this
sample event but in June all monitoring sites were sampled.
