Due to the potential <br /> for a snowstorm to occur and obscure the project area for the season in the near future, this <br /> request for inspection is being made concurrently with project completion in order to provide a <br /> level of assurance that site inspection will occur before the area is covered by snow. Monday, <br /> October 20, 1997, is the projected date for project completion. <br /> Sunnyside Gold Corporation (SGC) has or will have completed by the date of inspection, the <br /> Pride of the West Tailings Project (MRP) according to the work plan Following is a summary <br /> of the completed work for this MRP and where applicable, the work to be completed is noted <br /> Sediment traps were placed to minimize sediment transport to the river during excavation <br /> The historic (pre-law) Pride of the West Tailings were excavated and hauled either to the <br /> permitted onsite facility or to SGC's Tailings Pond No. 4. An estimate of material moved to <br /> each location is as follows; <br /> 1) Excavate and relocate to the onsite tailings pond - estimated at 45,000 cubic yards <br /> A 2' minimum freeboard was left in this facility to avoid placing this MLR permitted <br /> facility in non-compliance with the MLR permit requirements for this site. <br /> 2) Excavate and relocate to SGC's Tailings Pond No 4 - estimated at 39,000 cubic yards. <br /> 3) Relocated onsite for contouring, rebuilding slopes and ca i <br /> cubic yards.
