6. General Effects of the Operation on the Existing Wildlife of the Area <br />Construction activities may scare off large area wildlife during the summer, but the long term <br />presence of this mine will have allowed local wildlife to grow accustomed to it. The nearby County <br />Road 26 is a popular recreational road during the summer, adding to the human presence in the <br />area. <br />The sediment control structures in place at the Revenue will prevent the largest potential impact to <br />local wildlife from being an issue. The site will not be fenced, since the local topography limits the <br />effectiveness of fencing. Therefore animal- vehicle collisions will be a potential concern. This is <br />best addressed by low on site speed limits ( -4O mph) and safety training for equipment and vehicle <br />operators. <br />The post -mine land use for the site will be wildlife habitat. <br />Revenue Mine August 2012 H - <br />
