6. Dismantle Buildings and Structures at Portal Area
Reclamation will include the removal of all buildings and other structures. The following structures
will be removed at the Revenue Portal area:
• Surface equipment storage and shop
• Mine office
• Compressor room
• Dry -room
• Mill loadout
• Cribbing
All of the facilities have a 12 inch concrete foundation, with the exception of the cribbing and the
dry -room. The cribbing is timbers, and the dry-room is a pair of trailers.
8. Reclaim Portal Areas
There are three portal areas that will have to be reclaimed at Revenue: the underground storage
room, the mill, and the Revenue tunnel portal itself. The underground storage room and mill portal
will be backfilled for 25 feet into each portal with waste rock from the mine This rock will be
pushed into each portal by a dozer, and the face of the backfill slope topsoiled and seeded along
with all other disturbed areas. The underground storage room has two entries that must be
backfilled while the mill has a single entry at the tailings loadout that must be backfilled. The
Revenue tunnel portal will not be backfilled due to the mine water discharge that flows year around.
Instead, a steel bat gate will be welded into place at the Revenue portal.
9. BacktIll Ponds and Collection Ditches
Sediment Pond 1 will be backfilled after successful revegetation of the mine areas that drain to it.
This will require 2,070 CY of material. The material for pond backfill will come from the general
regrading of the site at the end of mine life. Similarly, the collection ditches will be removed once
the revegetation of disturbed mine areas that drain to them is successful. Sediment Pond 2 and the
Mine Water Pond will not be backfilled as part of reclamation.
Revenue Mine August 2012 E -
