3. Explosives and Blasting
Various types of explosives have been used at the Revenue Mine and depending on the location
can consist of dynamite (stick power), Anfo (ammonium nitrate), or some combination of the
two. Detonators are fuse primers, nonels, or electric blasting caps. All explosives will be stored
underground at two locations in the Yellow Rose drift, as shown on Map C -5. All explosives will
be stored and handled according to MSHA regulations.
4. Ore Processing Mill
The raw ore produced by mining at the Revenue will be processed in a 100% underground
milling facility designed by CH2M Hill. The details of the design can be found in Appendix 7.
Exhibit T also focuses on the environmental protections to be employed in the mill process. Raw
ore will be hauled underground to the storage bins shown in the mill design, and then run
through a primary crushing circuit. From there it will be conveyed to the secondary crushing
circuit by a conveyor belt, and from there to a fine ore storage feeder for the ball mill. A ball mill
will reduce the ore to very fine size for separation in the flotation circuit. The flotation circuit
uses a number of chemicals and frothers to selectively float various sulfide minerals, which will
be skimmed from the surface of the cells and rinsed and dewatered. This concentrate will then be
bagged in super sacs for transportation off site for sale. This concentrate will contain primarily
all sulfides from the ore, producing a concentrate that is —2-10% of the original ore feed mass.
The concentrate will be fed to highway haul trucks via the mill portal.
Filters will be used to extract water from the tailings, and this water will be recycled in the mill.
The tailings will be delivered outside by a 24" wide or smaller rubber conveyor that will be
covered from the mill portal as shown on Maps C -2, C -3 and C -4 to a steel building of
dimensions 20 feet x 30 feet x 20 feet high. It will have a 6" thick steel reinforced concrete
foundation. The tailings material size is approximately 200 mesh and due to the water filter
recycling, the water content of the tailings will be approximately 13 -16 %. This building will
have a large garage door on the north side. From this opening, a backhoe or other machine will
Revenue Mine August 2012 D -
