The mine is a reclaimed underground mine <br />and a separate partially reclaimed train loadout. As such no mine personnel remain on site. Mine records are <br />stored at the Energy Fuels office in Florence. Mr. George Patterson of Energy Fuels met the inspector at the <br />Energy Fuels office for records inspection but did not accompany the inspector to the mine site or load out site. <br /> <br />The weather was hot and extremely dry, and very gusty. Temperature was in around 100 degrees F in Florence. <br />Many parts of the state are in extreme fire danger conditions. Smoke plume from a wildfire northwest of Canon <br />City was visible from the mine site. <br /> <br />AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS Rule 5.02.4(1): <br />Records are stored at the Energy Fuels office in Florence. The inspector met George Patterson of Energy Fuels <br />Coal Inc at the Energy Fuels office and verified the records. <br /> <br />Records checklist is included with this report. <br /> <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6, 4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent <br />Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Impoundments 4.05.6, <br />4.05.9; <br /> <br />Newlin Creek was not flowing west of the permit area at the Florence Mountain Park. The creek bed was dry.
