Subsidence Control Plan (784,20) <br /> 1 , Application shall include a survey to show whether structures or Bill/Doug/M.J./Consultant <br /> renewable resource lands exist that might be damaged should subsi- <br /> dence occur, If survey concludes that structures and renewable <br /> resource lands do not exist, and the regulatory authority agrees , <br /> no further information needed under this section in the application. <br /> 2. If survey shows that structures and renewable resource lands exist <br /> within the proposed permit area , the application shall include a <br /> subsidence control plan containing the following: detailed descrip- <br /> tion of mining methods that may affect subsidence (technique of coal <br /> removal , extent of planned subsidence) , measures to prevent subsidence <br /> or mitigate its effects (backstowing or back filling of voids , <br /> leaving support pillars of coal , areas where coal won ' t be removed) , <br /> measures to be taken on the surface (reinforcement of sensitive <br /> structures , installation of footers , change location of pipelines , <br /> utility lines , or other features , relocation of movable improve- <br /> ments , monotoring to determine degree of subsidence) , mitigation <br /> measures for damage from subsidence (restoration or rehabilitation <br /> of structures and features including land surface contours , replace- <br /> ment of structures , purchase of structure, noncancellable insurance <br /> policies) , and measures to determine degree of damage or loss in <br /> value (pre-subsidence surveys , monotoring of damage) . <br /> I .
