Compliance with Colorado Surface Coal Tining Reclamation Act <br /> CRS 1973, as amended 34-33-101, et. sea. , <br /> and t.ze <br /> Rules and Regulations Issued pursuant to the Act <br /> This includes a Zisti2g of the particular provisions of the regulatory program which were <br /> examined during the course of tU s inspection, and identifies enforcement actions taken <br /> during the inspection for failure to comply with the Rules and Regulations, the Act and <br /> the permit. <br /> 4.02 Signs and Markers <br /> All signs and markers noted were in compliance. <br /> 4.03 Roads <br /> All roads adjacent to the office area and refuse pile were in good condition, <br /> considering the heavy rains that the mine was experiencing the day of the inspection. <br /> No problems were noted. <br /> 4.05 Hydrologic Balance <br /> All ponds below the office and refuse area were in good working order. Discharge <br /> from these ponds was occuring and visually appeared all right. <br /> The sediment pond embankment on the SE corner of the refuse pile was not backfilled <br /> as required in our July report. Despite the rain, there was very little water in this <br /> pond. <br /> 4.06 Topsoil <br /> No problems were noted. <br /> 4.15 Revegetation <br /> Revegetation at the refuse pile looked very good, considering some of the steep <br /> slopes in the area. <br />
