resources of the area. Failure to conform to these specifications shall result in immediate suspension of contract. Because the infested areas are adjacent to public use areas, CONTRACTOR shall post three (3) signs at the Project Area in locations specified by Project Manager. The signs will be posted five (5) days in advance of treatment. PROJECT MANAGER will remove the signs following completion of the Project. The signs shall include the following information: Notice of intent to apply weed control chemicals; Warning not to enter area the day of, and one day following the planned application date; Estimated date of application; Common name of material'to be applied; Contractor name and phone number; "Project administered by Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology. Additionally, small plastic warning signs shall be posted at three hundred feet (300') intervals along the roads which traverse the Project Area. These signs shall be posted at the time of application, and shall be removed no sooner than 24 hours following application. Other CONTRACTORS may be working in and near the Project Area during performance of this Project. CONTRACTOR is cautioned to be aware of heavy equipment, and is advised to coordinate activities with others to the extent that becomes necessary. PROJECT MANAGER will assist in this regard. Measurement and Payment There will be no measurement for payment. Payment for this task will be reflected in a lump sum bid under Item 1 on the Bid Schedule. This lump sum bid will cover all costs necessary and incidental to posting and removing signs, and applying the specified herbicide at the required rate per acre. The lump sum price shall include all equipment, machinery and labor necessary to complete the Task as described in this specification. Payment will be made only for the price bid in Item 1 of the Bid Schedule, and as work is completed and approved by PROJECT MANAGER.
