f. Insurance shall include provision providing notification to the State 10 days prior to
cancellation of the coverage.
3. Automobile Liability (Minimum). The contractor must carry a minimum of $600,000
combined single limit.
VENDOR OFFSET
Pursuant to C.R.S. 24-30-202.4 (as amended), the State Controller may withhold debts owed to
state agencies under the vendor offset intercept system for: (a) unpaid child support debt or child
support arrearages; (b) unpaid balance of tax, accrued interest, or other charges specified in
Article 22, Title 39, C.R.S.; (c) unpaid loans due to the student loan division of the Department of
Higher Education; (d) owed amounts required to be paid to the unemployment compensation fund;
and (e) other unpaid debts owing to the State or any agency thereof, the amount of which is found
to be owing as a result of final agency determination or reduced to judgment as certified by the
controller.
Work Description
The General Conditions for Purchase Orders and Purchase Order Terms and Conditions
(attached) apply to all work.
The Coal Basin Mine is being reclaimed by the State of Colorado, Division of Minerals and
Geology. The mine is located four miles west of Redstone, and is accessed by paved road.
Roads on the mine site are improved dirt.
The purpose of this project is to accomplish spot control of noxious weeds within certain portions of
the Coal Basin Mine as a continuation of a long term weed control strategy. This project is funded
100% through monies made available to the State of Colorado through revocation of bond monies
retained by the Division of Minerals and Geology for reclamation of this previously permitted mining
operation.
TASK 1: HERBICIDE APPLICATION
The Project will be accomplished twice during the 2000 growing season. The first application of
herbicide will be applied beginning July 5, 2000. It is anticipated that this portion of the project will
be accomplished in no more than three (3) consecutive working days. A second application will be
applied at a mutually agreed upon date in late August, 2000. It is anticipated that this portion of the
project will be accomplished in no more than four (4) consecutive working days.
Application Areas
The Project area is approximately twenty (20) acres in size, but it is not contiguous in nature. The
attached map shows the approximate locations of noxious weed infestations. Each of the areas
was treated in 1998 and 1999. However, individual plants within each area are still growing. The
goal of this project is to treat all remaining noxious weeds located within the infested areas.
Although some of the infested areas are near or adjacent to roads, access to other infested areas
may be difficult due to the steepness of the slopes and due to past reclamation activities.
