NOTE-THE VENDOR SHALL NOTIFY THE DIVISION (Jim McArdle or Yvonne Brannon-303-
866-3789) at least one week prior to mixing to allow the Division the opportunity to arrange
for inspection of the seed and monitoring of the mixing process by a representative of the
Division.
The mixtures must be formulated and delivered in accordance with the following
specifications:
Coal Basin Mine Site Seed Mixture (Table 1): Please provide the mix in forty eight (48), two (2)
acre bags having 25.48 pounds of Pure Live Seed per bag, with the seed packaged within each
bag as noted in the Mixing Instructions, below. The total seed for this order shall be 1,212.8
pounds PLS.
Pond Reclamation Seed Mixture (Table 2): Please provide the mix in thirteen (13), one (1) acre
bags, with the seed packaged within each one acre bag as noted in the Mixing_Instructions,
below. The total seed for this order shall be 204 pounds.
Diversion Mixture (Table 3): Please provide the mix in one (1) bag, containing 15 pounds of Pure
Live Seed. The total seed for this order shall be 15 pounds PLS.
Subalpine Mix (Table 4): Please provide the mix in seven (7), one (1) acre bags, having 19.5
pounds of Pure Live Seed per bag. The total seed for this order shall be 136.5 pounds PLS.
Alpine Mix (Table 5): Please provide the mix in fourteen (14), one (1) acre bags, having 13.5
pounds of Pure Live Seed per bag. The total seed for this order shall be 189. 0 pounds PLS.
If varieties other than those specified for each species are to be offered, please write in the name
of the offering on the appropriate seed mixture table (enclosed) and return it with your bid. Failure
to provide the specified variety may result in rejection of the bid.
Mixing Instructions
or the Coal Basin Mine Site Seed Mixture, seed shall be thoroughly pre-mixed in the specified
proportions and delivered in 47 bags consisting of a two (2) acre batch of seed at the rate
specified. and one (1) bag containing a 1.2 acre batch of seed at the rate specified. The seed
denoted by an asterisk (') in Table 1. Coal Basin Mine Site Seed Mixture. shall be placed in
a separate container enclosed within each seed baa.
For the Pond Reclamation Seed Mixture, seed shall be thoroughly pre-mixed in the specified
proportions and delivered in bags consisting of a one (1) acre batch of seed at the rate specified.
The seed denoted by an asterisk (') in Table 2. Pond Reclamation Mixture. shall be placed
