The <br />weather was sunny and warm with a steady wind. I, Jared Ebert of the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining <br />and Safety conducted the inspection. Mr. Don MacDonald of Coors Energy Company accompanied me on the <br />inspection. <br />AIR RESOURCE PROTECTION — Rule 4.17: <br />Truck traffic and the ash disposal operations do not appear to be a significant source of air pollution. <br />BACKFILL and GRADING — Rule 4.14; Contemporaneous Reclamation 4.14.1; Approximate Original Contour <br />4.14.2; Highwall Elimination 4.14.1(2)(f); Steep Slopes 4.14.2, 4.27; Handling of Acid and Toxic Materials <br />4.14.3; Stabilization of Rills and Gullies 4.14.6: <br />Since the last inspection, it does not appear the Operator has backfilled additional spoil at the southern end of Pit <br />B. <br />Two loads of Ash had been backfilled at the site this morning. According to Mr. MacDonald an additional tvvo <br />loads will be backfilled later this day. <br />The current fill row is nearing the western side of Pit B. The Operator has constructed a runaway berm offset from <br />the western pit slope running north and south.
