f <br /> Invitation and Bid at Task 4, Earthwork, ie: the average slope of the cut and fill areas <br /> must not exceed 2.4H : 1 V, no fill slope may be steeper than 2.3H : 1 V, no cut slope <br /> may be steeper than 2.4H : 1 V. <br /> Task 5; Topsoil Application and Surface Roughening: <br /> 1. Mulch will be applied at the rate of two (2) tons per acre over the entire cut and fill <br /> surface in conjunction with the surface roughening. <br /> 2. The entire cut and fill area will be roughened as described in the Specifications. <br /> 3. Upon completion of topsoil excavation from the Sutey Topsoil Pile, the excavated <br /> portion of the pile will be heavily scarified with the teeth of a track hoe. The area will be <br /> fertilized, seeded and mulched as per Task 7, Revegetation in October, 2001. <br /> Task 6; Shrub Planting: <br /> 1. Willow cuttings will be planted at the base of both the cut and of the fill slopes. <br /> 2. Willow bundles will be covered by one to two inches (1" to 2") of soil after they have <br /> been placed in the trenches at the base of the cut and fill slopes. <br /> Task 7; Revegetation: <br /> 1. Seedbed preparation is NOT required. <br /> Task 8; Tree Planting: <br /> 1. Trees will be planted half way up the inside of the gouges created during completion of <br /> Task 5; Topsoil Application and Surface Roughening. Trees will be planted on the <br /> most southerly portion of the gouges. <br /> A revised and renamed copy of Map 5 will be sent from Grand Junction Friday, June 1, <br /> 2001. The Map is now named "Idealized Post-Reclamation Topography". The map <br /> depicts the post reclamation topography of the cut and fill area. Note that the- - <br /> measurement for successful completion of Task 4, Earthwork, is construction of the cut <br /> and fill slopes to the specifications contained in that Task and as revised by this <br /> Amendment. <br /> All terms and conditions of the Invitation and Bid other than as changed by this <br /> amendment remain the same. <br /> Receipt and acceptance of this amendment must be acknowledged on the bid submittal <br /> form. <br />
