A copy of the attendance list is attached.
Please note the following changes and clarifications to the Invitation and Bid:
The Bid Opening date has been changed to June 8, 2001 at 2:30 p.m.
Map 4, Pre-Reclamation Topography, and Map 5, Post Reclamation Topography, were
distributed at the beginning of the meeting.
Task 3, Underdrain Construction
1. As a point of clarification, the underdrain will underlie the base of the fill. It will also
extend up the southerly and easterly sides of the existing slope for a vertical distance of
fifteen feet (15'). It is estimated thatthe horizontal portion of the drain will begin at
about the 8250 or 8255 contour on Map 4, Pre-Reclamation Topography, and extend
northerly to the toe of the fill.
2. The drainage ditch which will be constructed from the underdrain to Coal Creek must
have a slope sufficient to drain water from the underdrain to Coal Creek without
allowing water to stand or pool. The length of the drainage ditch may be approximately
thirty feet (30') in length.
Task 4; Earthwork:
1. The average slopes of the cut and fill areas must not exceed 2.4H : IV.
2. No fill slope may be steeper than 2.3H : 1 V.
3. No cut slope may be steeper than 2.4H : 1 V.
4. The estimated volume of cut and fill material is 2,000 to 3,000 cubic yards.
CONTRACTORS are encouraged to make their own estimations.
5. OWNER will pay for any necessary proctor tests above and beyond the three (3) tests
currently required of CONTRACTOR.
6. It is possible that the volume of dirt estimated in the Invitation and Bid to be cut and
filled may be incorrect. CONTRACTORS are encouraged to estimate the volume of dirt
necessary to generally achieve the contours depicted on Map 5, Post-Reclamation
Topography. Regardless of the estimated volume of cut and fill, CONTRACTORS are
required to create a landform consistent with the slope specifications contained in the
