iNTR000CTION <br /> This document is the approval package prepared by the Colorado Mined Land <br /> Reclamation Division for the Coal Basin Mines, an underground mining <br /> operation located in Pitkin and Gunnison Counties. The document contains <br /> the proposed decision to approve the permit application; a summary which <br /> includes a description of the review process for the permit application; <br /> a description of the environment affected by the mining operation and a <br /> description of the mining and reclamation plan; and the written findings <br /> of compliance that the Division is required to make pursuant to the <br /> Colorado Surface' <br /> urface, Coal Mining Act of 1979. Detailed information about the <br /> review process can be found in the Act and the Regulations of the <br /> Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining. All rules <br /> referenced in this document are contained within those regulations. <br /> Detailed information about the proposed mining and reclamation operations <br /> can be found in the permit application and the public record maintained <br /> by the Division (File No. C-017-81 ) at 1313 Sherman Street, Room 423, <br /> Denver, Colorado, and at the Pitkin County Courthouse in Aspen, Colorado <br /> and the Gunnison County Courthouse in Gunnison, Colorado. <br />
