This document was rewritten by myself and Dr. Bruce
Collins, now our on-staff geologist. He used to be the Snowmass ,
Blue Ribbon, Powderhorn, etc. , Chief Geologist. I have also
included in this letter comments about mine discharges, T.S .S .
off-road systems, ground water seepage and certain chemical
parameters of- the low flow and high flow regimes. Comments are
also included on the thermal dryer, laboratory procedures for
metals analysis and methods used to sample ground water wells.
NOTE: Several of the surface water stations, including noneffected
drainages, show elevated iron _levels in April 1985 and it occurred
to me that the lab may have made an error and ran dissolved iron
instead of total.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Doug Bowman
Environmental Coordinator
DB:rm
Enclosure
