BOX 1298 Executive Director
Glenwood Springs, Colorado Michael B Long
81602 Division Director
RE: Belt Line Removal, Limestone Quarry
Dear Ms. Delaney:
This letter is to confirm the substance of our June 17, 1996
conversation regarding removal of the used belt line material from
the quarry site located near Glenwood Springs.
Previous to June 17, 1996, we had discussed the idea of using belt
line located at Coal Basin as an experimental erosion control
device. On June 17, 1996, you mentioned that the belt line located
at Coal Basin belongs to the salvage company. However, you stated
that the belt line located at the limestone quarry would be
available to the Division for use at Coal Basin. You also
mentioned that the quarry site had been locked by the Bureau of
Land Management (BLM) .
I have contacted BLM personnel in Glenwood Springs, and they have
indicated that the Division may remove the belt line from the
quarry site. I will coordinate a time to remove the belt line from
the quarry with BLM.
The Division will make use of this material by trenching it into
the roads at various locations in Coal Basin as a water control
device.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter
Sincerely,
teve G.
